Highly favourable conditions resulted in some great times and great improvements tonight! Four women achieved the 40km/h or more level, with Sue Schlatter again improving upon her database PB and pushing the all-time OBC women's best time down to 21:16! Jennifer Stephenson did 22:07, Natasha Elliott was third in 22:12, and Tenille Hoogland was fourth in 22:30. This is the first night we have ever had four women make the 22:30 mark, and in fact there are only five earlier events in which two or more women rode 40km/h or faster. The top men were impressive too, with 3 times below 20 minutes, though all these men rode faster earlier on the phenomenally quick evening of 2004-Jul-29. Michael Nash was first tonight in 19:20, followed by Glen Rendall, a second slower in 19:21. Paul Datars completed the top three in 19:48. There are only 9 earlier nights recorded in which three or more men rode faster than 45km/h. There were also a number of excellent category performances. Erika Revesz (VCF) did her second mid 23'ish time this week, bettering her Tuesday time by 6 seconds down to 23:34, upping the competition in the VCF category with Ellen Pazdzior - Good riding!
